On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to Nigeria, HE Mr. TRAORE Kalilou paid a courtesy visit to HE Mr. Siaka CISSOKO, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea, in accordance with the diplomatic tradition of visits (postponed due to COVID-19) that Ambassadors carry out, after presenting their Letters of Credence.
During this meeting, the Ambassador of Ivory Coast and his Guinean counterpart welcomed the fraternal relations that exist between the two sister nations, marked by friendship and fraternity between their Heads of State.
They also discussed ways to strengthen their cooperation with the Federal Republic of Nigeria and consolidate multilateral cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Finally, the two diplomats welcomed the convergence of points of view on many issues of common interest and wished to work towards the harmonization of their positions in regional and continental bodies.
